Résumé
Les auteurs rapportent un cas de dissection de l’aorte révélée par un hémothorax de grande abondance chez un patient âgé de 55 ans, hypertendu, en surpoids, fumeur actif non sevré. L’angioscanner thoracique réalisé objectivait une dissection de l’aorte type B de Stanford, compliquée d’une rupture dans la cavité pleurale gauche. Le patient est décédé dans un tableau de choc hémorragique douze heures après son admission. La dissection de l’aorte est une pathologie rarement observée chez nous et constitue une urgence diagnostique et thérapeutique. Devant tout hémothorax non traumatique la dissection de l’aorte doit être évoquée, surtout s’il existe un terrain prédisposant.

Abstract
The authors report a case of aorta dissection revealed by an abundant hemothorx in a 55-year-old hypertensive, overweight, active smoker patient. The thoracic angioscanner showed a Stanford type B aorta dissection, complicated by a rupture in the left pleural cavity. The patient died in hemorrhagic shock twelve hours after admission. Dissection of the aorta is a pathology rarely observed in our country and constitutes a diagnostic and therapeutic emergency. In front of any non-traumatic hemothorax dissection of the aorta must be evoked, especially in case of a predisposing ground.
